Computer simulations have become an indispensable tool in science. Nowadays, the advancements in computer speed and data storage capacity permit accurate simulations of complex physical systems of technological and social interests, addressing questions at resolutions or level of details that are often hardly accessible by experiments.

My research activity spans over different areas of the physics and chemistry: biophysics, medical chemistry, atmospheric chemistry,  weather and air-quality modeling, etc. I am using the computational tools in order study physicochemical phenomena at interfacial environments such as protein/water and those of atmospheric relevance. The ultimate goal is to understand at a molecular level the fundamental interactions governing interfacial processes, providing physically justified inputs for drug design in medical chemistry and atmospheric models for predictions of air quality issues and global climate change
