Stefano’s world
Stefano’s world
I love my job and to work
with my students. They are often as nerdy as me
but... well... you should not expect that sane
people like to spend their time try to understand
black holes, cosmology and time machines!
I like very much to read
and listen to music in my free time.
Book wise I like novels
but also essay on several subjects, from geopolitics
to anthropology and history, macro-economy.
Albeit born in Rome, I spent most of my childhood in a small town in Emilia-Romagna, Dozza Imolese, to which I like to come back every now and then. After doing high school and university in Rome I came to Trieste for my PhD. Here I meet a most influential person in my life, my supervisor Dennis Sciama. Then my work lead me to live for three years in Washington DC. I loved the town and the USA. Then I came back to SISSA as an assistant professor to became later an associate professor and full professor. Nowadays, I spend my time between two countries, Italy and England, and albeit it is sometime tiresome I also enjoyed it very much.
