Trieste

can be reached in many ways.

By Air:
Trieste Airport (TRS) is in Ronchi, 35km NW of the city, with regular connections from Rome, Milan, Munich (Air Dolomiti) and cheap RyanAir flights from London Stansted. Airports in Venice, Treviso and Ljubljiana are some 2h away.
By Rail:
The train station, located downtown, within walking distance of most hotels, is on Europe's Corridor 5, between Milan, Venice (1h40') and Zagreb and Budapest.

Europe
By Road:
Trieste is 146km east of Venice and a similar distance south of the Tarvisio border with Austria; it has bus connections particularly with Eastern Europe. Travelling by private car, leave the highway at Sistiana to access the city from the coastal road.
By Sea:
Ferry and cruise connections vary with the season, but consider this option, particularly if interested in a relaxed journey along the Adriatic.

Miramare is 8km NW of downtown Trieste.
Those who have booked hotels through The Office will be guaranteed a shuttle service to the meeting and back.  City bus 36 runs frequently piazza Oberdan to Miramare (1 Euro/ride).
Campus
Rail, road and sea routes are also available to reach Miramare.
